I thought I’d mix it up a little today, and share just ten (bearing in mind I’ve covered four A4 pages before now, no jk) of the things on my Bucket List; I think I wanted to do this because well…there’s so much I want to do, and I figured putting them on here would give me some encouragement to crack on and get them done! I’ve also picked some of the more realistic ones off the list – like I’m not saying ‘hugging a koala’ will never happen, but…y’know.
Stargaze in Dartmoor National Park (Devon, UK)
I’ve been to Dartmoor before and it’s honestly one of the most naturally beautiful places ever – green fields for miles, wild – but friendly – horses, lakes, streams, Instagram-worthy wooden bridges… picturesque beyond words. So I obvs have to camp under the stars now to complete my experience!
Have a photoshoot in Paris
…Ok so not an actual photoshoot, more of a hey boyfriend here’s my camera, pls take pictures of me whilst I pose in front of the Eiffel Tower like a complete lemon..kinda thing. I’ve always dreamt about Paris anyway bc it’s uber dreamy and Audrey Hepburn said it was a good idea so y’know, Audrey knows.
See the Northern Lights in Iceland
How freaking pretty though. I’m not entirely sure I need to say much more, apart from I need to go. It just looks like magic!
Learn to drive
If you read my ‘25 Facts About Me‘ you’ll know I had a whole five lessons when I was 19 – I really didn’t want to learn then, but I do now. Also then I can justify buying a VW Campervan and painting flowers all over it, HAPPY DAYS.
Visit Edinburgh
The castle, the zoo! There’s something about Scotland calling my name. Also there are koalas at the zoo. See my train of thought here? I wanna hug, dammit!
Run a Marathon
Although I go running, I wouldn’t class myself as a ‘runner’ and I’d like to get to the point where I can run a 10k or something for MIND bc they’re basically awesome.
Ride a Hot Air Balloon
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to ride in a hot air balloon! It HAS to be a Summer’s eve or during a sunset, and with cracking views.
On a side note, how the f*ck do they get you back on the ground?!
Hold a Tarantula
If you have a fear of spiders too, I’M SORRY and I understand if you want to press that big cross in the right hand corner & steer clear of me for good – but hold on; the reason this is on here – despite the fact it gives me the heebie jeebies just to look at the bloody thing – is it’s a fear I want to conquer. Last year I held a snake, which I’d previously feared (don’t get me wrong, it’s not like I’d hold a cuddle party for them now), so I figure if I can do that… then why can’t I do this?
Get published
I’ve pretty much been writing ever since I can remember – right from small, I’d sit and write poetry, small stories, screenplays, I kept my own diary for nearly ten years… & now I blog! I just love it, & to be published one day is the ultimate dream!
Meet Dave Grohl & the Foo Fighters
Ok so there had to be one completely unrealistic never-gonna-happen one on here didn’t there! Dave is pretty much an idol for me – he’s genuine, humble and an all round inspo, plus he can rock the undercrackers off of any stadium. The Foos have gotten me through a lot of stages in my life, so y’know… I love ’em.

Wow our bucket lists are so similar, I also want to see the northern lights, go to edingburgh (not sure if I spelt that right… Oops) and ride in a hot air balloon! But my dream is to take a hot air balloon ride in Dubai, I think that would be the ultimate experience! Girl, if you wanna meet the Foo Fighters who says that will never happen!!? Believe in your dreams!! I hope you get to tick off everything on your bucket list Hun! Also Dartmoor sounds beautiful, I must go! I always like finding new places to visit in England, I focus so much on traveling to different countries sometimes I forget how beautiful this one is so thanks for reminding me! Oh, two things that are definitely not on my bucket list are running a marathon and holding a tarantula, although running a marathon to raise money for charity would be incredible! You’ve inspired me to write a bucket list post now, but all my real big crazy dreams!! 😀 I’d love to own my own house at St Georges hill and hold my own festival in the garden wth Eminem and Steve Aoki headlining 😍😍😍 xxx

Omg yes a hot air ride in Dubai would be the ultimate, could you imagine the views!? Haha, well I can definitely dream anyway, if I ever actually did meet the Foos I think I’d faint anyway, so probs best not to!! Oh you’re welcome! I’m all about finding beautiful places in our country, we’re so lucky! But it can be very easy to overlook it when you live here! You should definitely try to see Dartmoor though, it’s unbelievable! Haha a festival in your back garden sounds the DREAM! Oo I’d want tipi tents & hot air balloons and popcorn machines too, the lot! You should 100% do a bucket list post, I’d love to see it!! xxxxxxx

The views would be seriously breathtaking! Aha yeah you don’t wanna be fainting! Who knows whats round the corner tho!? Yes we are, sometimes its nice to explore close to home. Agreed, it’s easy to take our country for granted when we just want to travel further! I will do for suree it sounds beaut. It would be amazing, omg yes to popcorn machines! I really, really, really want to see The Northern Lights and my boyfriend and I were going to book to go this Winter.. I just don’t know if I could deal with the disheartenment of not seeing them if we did go because of bad weather or whatever.. 🙈

Omg I know! I’d hate to get there and not see them! You’d be going at the right time though, they say that Winter – so Dec/Jan/Feb/March are the best months to go! x

It looks like we have a lot in common katie 🙂 I want to ride in a hot air balloon, star gaze, visit different parts of the U.K., run a marathon and see the northern lights. A couple things on my bucket list I want to do are hike pikes peak (in Colorado, US), visit Paris, go zip lining and visit Spain.

We have SO much in common!! Zip lining sounds so much fun too, I might have to add that to my list – there are like giant ones you can do aren’t there? Through forests etc! Spain is supposed to be beaut too, I’ve never been! Ireland is stunning, have you ever wanted to visit there? So green and naturally beautiful!! x

Yes! especially Dublin, my old roommate has been there a couple of times. She says it’s so beautiful. Zip lining is what I want to do.
