A Little Lush Haul!

If you didn’t raise your hands then I totally respect the fact that it might have looked very weird, particularly if you’re sat in Starbucks sipping on a caramel popcorn frappe surrounded by people folk; however, if you really don’t love Lush… are you CRAZY.

Anywho, I took myself to Lush at the weekend and it’s safe to say I am always in my element when I visit – I love the smell, the friendly staff, I feel like a kid in a sweet shop! So I thought I’d share with you the few bits I got – shall we?!

Damaged Hot Oil Hair Treatment

Ok, so I am a Lush hair product virgin (does that sound weird? It sounds weird..) – in other words, I’ve pretty much only ever purchased bath bombs and bubble bars before now – and maybe a massage bar – but never anything from their hair range. I know. With that in mind, and since my hair has a tendency to be dry and is definitely in need of a little TLC, I picked up this hot oil hair treatment. Here’s what it says about it on the website!

With extra virgin olive oil to increase tensile strength and almond and avocado oils to deeply moisturise, your hair will be ready for whatever you have planned for it next. Guar gum reduces static and vanilla absolute lightly perfumes locks for irresistibly touchable hair.

Definitely excited and intrigued to see if this can give my locks a little lovin’ – I’ll keep you posted!

Metamorphosis Bath Bomb

I actually remember being in Lush a month or two ago with my best pal, and one of the sales assistants was excitedly telling us all about this brand new bath bomb coming out, that would look grey on the outside, but would release an array of colours when popped into the water – obvs we were hooked! So I couldn’t help but pick it up last weekend, and oh boy – it smells ah-mazing!

Here’s what it’s all about:

A symphony of darkness and light, this intensely rhapsodic bomb will release comforting, tranquil black pepper and myrrh resinoid to cleanse and uplift your soul. Release into warm water, and as the darkness of night fizzes away, a warm cinnamon sunrise of orange, pink, yellow and green bursts into life. Break free of the old and step into a bright new day.

Are you sold?! I’m sold. I mean, it’s too late if I’m not sold because I own it, BUT I’M SOLD.

Mask of Magnaminty Self-Preserving Face & Body Mask

This. Smells. Incredible. If you like minty and fresh scents then this is definitely for you! In truth, I picked this up initially because I’d seen so much hype about it, and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about – I’ve not used it yet, but apparently it’s great for dry skin and countering breakouts! Is it magic in a pot?! Here’s what’s on the website:

Easily smoothed over the skin, this mask is made with peppermint oil to stimulate, marigold oil and chlorophyllin to treat the skin; evening primrose seeds and aduki beans to gently exfoliate as you wash it away.

There’s mineral rich kaolin to nourish, honey for its antibacterial properties, and we used just the right amount of peppermint oil to stimulate blood cells under the surface of your skin and leave your skin looking bright and refreshed.

I’m so excited to give this a whirl! In the meantime, let me know if you’ve tried any of these products & what your thoughts are, and while you’re at it, what would you recommend that you’ve been loving?!

Off for a bubble bath/face mask/hair mask now, s’later.

Big kisses,

I haven’t yet! I keep meaning to get around to it, I’ve got a friend who’s used it and said they’re a fan, but I guess it’s maybe different for different hair types?! Mine’s super frizzy/dry so God knows what will happen there! I’ll keep you updated! xx

  4. LOVE Lush!! Recently bought the rosy cheeks face mask, and got my eye on the hot oil treatment and the sea salt body scrub … Lush is pretty much the reason I’m constantly broke!

Oo a rosy cheeks facemask! I haven’t seen that before, I’m intrigued! The sea salt body scrub definitely sounds like a winner too, let me know if you give that a go! & I wholeheartedly agree haha, if Lush didn’t exist I’d definitely be richer – but our baths would be nowhere near as fun! xx
