Well, toodles January. You were a lengthy ol’ month and tbh, we don’t normally get on do we? However, I loved last month, and I feel like these are some of my favourite-favourites yet! I’m all about bargains, and this month has been especially good for those *happy dances like a penguin*
Shall we?
Original Source Cherry and Almond Shower Milk – Sainsburys – £1
This is absolutely categorically one of my most favourite smelling things EVR. It’s basically a cherry bakewell blended into something you can wash with. Glo-ri-ous. Original Source are actually brilliant anyway because they’re all about being natural. The fragrances are 100% natural, they use natural moisturisers, they’re Vegan friendly and they don’t test on animals.
Oh & did I mention it smells AMAZING?! Someone needs to invent smello-vision already..
W7 Genius Feather Light Foundation – Fragrance Direct – £2.60
So I won’t go into this too much as I’ve already written a review of how much I love it on a previous post, which you can read here. It’s SO GOOD and it’s not even a little bit expensive. The coverage is brilliant, it’s light, satin-y, blends beautifully and I’m all over it. …Or like, it’s all over me. Like, my face.
Shut up Katie, ffs.
Unani Il-Luminate Milk Cleanser – Glossybox – £13.60
So for Christmas, my boyfriend bought me a 6 month subscription to Glossybox, which I have been loving. Every month, a little box turns up filled with five treats and it feels like my birthday! In my January box, one of the products I received was a cleansing milk by a brand called Unani, and it had to be in my favourites!
It smells really fresh and pretty – smello-vision…anyone?.. – and although it suggests use in the morning and evening, I’ve been using it just in the morning – I’m married to my Nivea Gentle Cleansing Cream Wash, and far too loyal to swap it completely; so I use the Nivea of an evening and Unani first thing – I find this really works for me as the Nivea feels like it really gets any make up off of my skin, and Unani leaves my face feeling fresh, and my skin feeling prepped before I put any makeup on! Plus how lovely is the packaging? Simple but elegant, and actually looks more expensive than it is!
SUPER Soft Mermaid Blanket – Primark – £11
Ok I know that everyone and their father’s sister’s budgie has probably got one of these now, but I couldn’t not. I love to be cosy and snug as a bug, and what better way to do it than as a mermaid?! It’s so freaking soft, I can’t tell you. Primark, you’ve done it again my friend.
Absolutely Fabulous – Netflix
I remember years ago, my Auntie sending me the first three seasons of this on DVD, and I literally never watched them. Like I might have watched one episode? Shameful. Anyway! This story has a happy ending because I spent January watching Ab Fab on Netflix and OMG I LOVE IT. It’s based around these two middle-aged women (Joanna Lumley & Jennifer Saunders) who are supposed to be fashionistas; they drink a lot, smoke a lot and we pretty much follow one outrageous escapade to the next. SO outrageous, but so, so funny.
Netflix currently have all six seasons at the mo, faaabulous sweetie dahhh-ling.
Disney Shopper Bags – Poundland – £1
Do I actually need to say anything? I wish I could just put a bajillion heart-eye-emojis! These are behind the tills in store, and I believe aside from Princess Jasmine & Alice (my favourite!!), they also have Bambi, Tinkerbell and Elsa.
I WANT THEM ALL.
Kallo Yoghurt Topped Rice Cakes – Poundland – £1
So I’ve been trying really hard to eat healthy this month. It hasn’t always gone totally to plan but I’ve not done too shabby, and in my quest to shun chocolate and eat healthier snacks, I discovered these rice cakes by Kallo. Rice cakes are kinda known for being tasteless, but before you make your mind up on them, try something by Kallo. I dare you!
These are delish. & they have such a range! These yoghurt topped ones are my favourites, but they do dark or milk chocolate topped too – they also have plain rice cakes in a variety of flavours, from paprika, to lightly salted, to blueberry and vanilla. Inexpensive, healthier and yummy. Winner winner!
Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar – Lush – £4.25
You might have known that something from the Valentines range at Lush would find it’s way on to here! I’ve had this once before and blimey o’riley, it smells gorrrgeous – there are definite notes of lavender in this, which is just instant relaxation. Plus I love unicorns, plus LOOK AT IT, plus baths. Plus, why the hell not.
So there we have it my blogging family. A favourites full of bargains and treats!
What did you love last month?! Is there anything you’d recommend? Let me know if you’ve tried or bought any of my favourites, and what you think of them!
Happy Feb!

Before reading your “my most favourite smelling things EVR” in regards to the Cherry Almond Milk product, I was looking at the picture just thinking “wow I bet that smells so good” LOL and then shortly after you confirmed it! I wonder if they would ship to the US?

I haven’t heard of some of those products but it’s probably because I live in the states. I recommend trying the NYX soft matte lip creams or butter glosses.
